Position Overview

Tatum Consultants are accomplished industry-leading accounting, finance or technology professionals with well-established, hands-on careers at the director, controller, vice president or C-suite level. As senior operating professionals, Consultants are eager to solve problems, create change and drive growth for Tatum clients on a temporary basis.

Typically a Tatum Consultant is new to consulting and is exploring a long-term career with Tatum. Other individuals are interested in traditional, full-time permanent employment and take on a few Tatum engagements to bridge the gap in between permanent positions. In addition, Tatum Consultants can be well-networked full-time consultants in the market who turn to Tatum for specific project work to help supplement their time.

Working alongside Tatum Engagement Partners and Principals, Tatum Consultants have helped thousands of organizations across the country successfully manage through rapid growth, turnarounds, restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, sale and IPO readiness, system implementations, executive transitions and other critical initiatives.

Interested in Learning More?

Successful candidates have a history of senior operating experience leading significant change within their organizations, superior credentials (CPA, MBA, etc.), a strong client-service mindset, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work well in dynamic environments.

The ideal candidate profile:

  • Proven senior leadership in accounting, finance or technology at the corporate or divisional level
  • Senior manager/director/senior director/vice president/C-suite experience in multiple operating entities that exhibit a diversity of company size, ownership structure and industry (private equity experience is a plus)
  • Experience leading significant change within organizations undergoing transitions, transactions, turnarounds and transformations
  • Excellent performance in deadline-driven, high-pressure environments
  • CPA, MBA or other advanced degree
  • Early career in public accounting or major consulting firm
  • Availability to travel
