Tatum's Client, a PE Owned company located in Los Angeles, is currently seeking a permanent CFO to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced, quickly evolving company to be an instrumental member of the team in promoting company growth and vision!

The CFO is responsible for directing timely, accurate and efficient accounting functions including financial reports to the CEO and the Board, managing financial reporting to lenders including compliance reports, budgeting, financial control/cash management, taxes, audits, and insurance coverages. The CFO is also responsible for financial analysis and financial planning that supports the company's operating performance and future growth. This executive utilizes their interpersonal skills to lead and develop the senior management team to improve efficiencies, while maintaining an operational and productive work environment that supports the company culture. They also will take a pro-active approach to support the other business units within the company to promote teamwork, communications, and operational performance.

responsibilities:

CFO Job Duties:

  • Insure the organization's fiscal reporting, analysis and performance, meet performance expectations and implement improvements as needed
  • Maintain credibility for the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the CEO, the Board and other senior executives in performing their responsibilities
  • Manages the company's budget process including performing budget to actual comparison and related analysis
  • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization; i.e., evaluation of potential alliances, acquisitions, mergers or divestitures
  • Adhere to required reporting requirements for the Company's lenders
  • Coordinates with and prepare schedules for the outside accounting firm for the annual audit/review and oversee the process
  • Optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position
  • Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs
  • Insure collection, accounts payable, and receivable functions run efficiently and with appropriate financial controls
  • Inventory management
  • Maintain fixed asset schedules/system
  • Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action
  • Internal control development and implementation for separation of responsibility
  • Tax/compliance in the areas of payroll taxes , sales taxes, unemployment taxes, quarterly and year end filings, health and welfare compliance, new state registrations, penalty abatement and other related issues
  • Implement a new reporting system that leverages data analytics for day to day management of the business
  • Continual improvement of the budgeting process through education of department managers on financial issues impacting department budgets
  • Evaluate the finance division structure and team plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group as well as provide individuals with professional and personal growth with emphasis on opportunities (where possible) of individuals

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10 to 15 years of accounting leadership experience
  • Strong, progressive, stable work history
  • MBA and/or CPA Preferred
  • PE company experience
  • Successful M&A experience
