Tatum's client, a publicly traded pharmaceutical/skincare company is in search of an Chief Operating Officer to join their team on a permanent basis. responsibilities:

Our client is currently expanding to another floor to accommodate growth, so the need for a COO is key for the organization and a brand new role for the enterprise. The COO will work with other Senior Management to keep the company running and growing by organic/inorganic means. Oversight of the operations, as well as, direct contact with the Parent company will be this person's responsibility, along with the following abilities:

 
qualifications:

Required Criteria:

  • Extensive prior experience in topical OTC drug operations & production (can be private labeling)
  • Understanding of all aspects of operations - supply chain, raw materials, packaging, storage, production lines, etc.
  • Extensive understanding of and experience with topical OTC quality assurance standards and systems, both for FDA & consumer approval
  • Ability to comply with and update relevant standard operating procedures and manufacturing practices
  • Needs to be VERY detail oriented and focused on clear communication between all levels and departments
  • Understanding of business needs of the company - needs to prioritize operational issues and goals based on what is core to the business
  • Knows how to cut operational costs and COGs in such a way that it makes sense for the business
  • Ability to coordinate with sales department to set prices
  • Ability to be onsite everyday (can relocate)
  • Ability to strategically guide company operations, yet be very hands-on on a day-to-day basis
  • Managerial experience and leadership qualities
  • Knows how to deal with growth challenges
  • Tech savviness - knows how to use relevant software systems (for both office and operations purposes) and how to assess future SW needs so that company can be technologically efficient
