Tatum has been engaged by a privately held company focused on environmental sustainability to find their next Controller at their newest Dallas based plant. We are seeking candidates with prior controller experience with a desire to be part of a new and fast growing organization in a business that is making an environmental difference.

Required Criteria:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field (Master's preferred)
  • 7+ years' financial management experience
  • Strong knowledge of project-based accounting software
  • Advanced analytical skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and a do whatever it takes attitude and approach
  • Strong knowledge and prior application of Lean business practices
  • Advanced software skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other data analysis and BI tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following :

  • Oversee financial operations of Company.
  • Drive the financial planning of the Company by analyzing its performance and risks.
  • Retain constant awareness of the Company's financial position and act to prevent problems.
  • Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the users in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization are met.
  • Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions.
  • Oversee the accounting functions including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Set targets for and supervise all accounting and finance personnel.
  • Establish budgets in accordance with the requirements of Company departments.
  • Oversee all audit and internal control operations.
  • Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Develop annual financial plans and projections for the Company.
  • Conduct analysis to make forecasts and report to upper executives.
  • Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines.
