Account Manager - Greater NYC (Partial Remote)

Job Summary:

Our client is a Top Manufacturer of decorative fabric and textiles used in the event and hospitality space! They are focused on delivering unique designs, and ensuring cohesive attention to project timelines to enterprise customers.

They are in need of an experienced Account Manager from the Greater NYC Area, who is comfortable traveling throughout the 5 boroughs, and focus on maintaining and elevating the company's close customer relationships in Manhattan while being supported by an internal team of project managers in our corporate design center.

responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Travel throughout the territory to meet with regular and prospective customers to develop designs and put together orders
  • Present or demonstrate products, using samples, PowerPoint presentation or catalogs, with an emphasis on design, function, sustainability and performance features.
  • Help to tailor the solution to the client's specific needs
  • Coordinate with inside sales and project management teams to keep account activities, literature and needs current
  • Develop and maintain relationships with specification and purchasing contacts
  • Investigate, diffuse and resolve challenges with regards to samples, purchase orders and deliveries within the territory
  • Regularly entertain and network with clients and potential clients
  • Keep up to date on new design clients and opportunities for engaging on projects outside of our established customer base

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales or account management role, commercial design and/or project management, live events, OR other professional B2B
  • Must have strong presentation skills, and comfortable entertaining and networking with enterprise customers outside of normal working hours
  • Strong problem-solving skills and creativity are required
  • Must have a high level of ownership and accountability with strong organizational skills and the ability to remain focused while simultaneously managing competing projects and priorities
  • Experience using MS Excel, CRM and ERP systems is preferred.
