job summary:

Randstad Professionals is actively seeking a Director of Accounting for a client in Raleigh that consults with small businesses.

Our client is looking for an experienced Accounting Management leader with at least 5 years experience with managing teams, working with small businesses. The role will oversee full cycle accounting, including month end, quarter end and year end close, tax and audit. responsibilities:

-Oversee accounting team responsible for establishing and maintaining clients' accounting systems and compliance protocols. Must have experience with grant accounting, indirect cost rate proposals.

-Bookkeeping, including A/P, A/R, payroll, journal entries, reconciliations

-Preparing financial reports

-Oversee preparation of tax returns for LLC's and C Corps.

-Oversee representation of clients in audits.

-Communication between accounting and compliance team, bookkeepers, tax accountants, clients, and auditors.

-Proactively identify clients' compliance, bookkeeping, and tax needs.
