job summary:

Tatum by Randstad is working with a Boulder based Non-Profit organization currently looking for an Accounting Manager. The company has certain philosophical goals and would be hoping to find a candidate with the same motivations. This role is 100% remote. The client would also consider a Senior Accountant with some leadership experience who is ready to move into management.

The company is primarily a remote workforce but would prefer a candidate who is ok coming into the office maybe once every 2 weeks (to print checks, etc) Their office location is in the Broomfield area. They do have meetings in the office from time to time, so someone living close by would be desired but not required.

The Accounting Manager supports operations by planning, directing, and executing the daily accounting activities of the company and ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.

Duties may include establish internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation; preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, annual budgets; production of periodic financial reports and ensure reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards; oversee outsourced preparation of all forms 990 and related state required non-profit filings; audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations by coordinating with outside auditors and providing needed information for the annual external audit; improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions; assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy; meet financial accounting objectives; establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.

  • Strong non-profit accounting skills/experience - GAAP and 990.
  • Strong QuickBooks online preferred; Sage Intaact experience and software system implementation skills preferred.
  • Familiar with integrated applications such as Expensify and
  • Technology focused - research software programs to facilitate workflow for a distributed workforce.
  • Familiar with outsourced payroll companies like Gusto and Paychex.
  • Deep commitment to social equity by decolonizing wealth and redistributing power.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience working with non profit organizations would be highly desirable

Pay Info

Salary range will be in the $95-$105K range. The company offers a fantastic benefits package including partially paid medical coverage for employees and dependents, partially paid dental and vision.
