accounting manager in charlotte

Tatum is seeking an Accounting Manager for a rapidly growing company in the Charlotte area. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for implementing processes and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting process
• Perform monthly general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial statements
• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including: Cash receipts & collections, receivables, payables and accruals
• Assist with day-to-day, monthly, and year-end operations of the accounting and finance department
• Prepare financial reporting including ad-hoc internal reports and financial analysis
• Assist in identifying, evaluating and documenting technical and operational accounting issues
• Supervises the work of staff, including: planning, assigning and scheduling work, reviewing work and ensuring quality standards, training staff and overseeing productivity.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance
• CPA preferred
• Big 4/Large national public accounting experience highly preferred
• Experience working in a large, global, and/or public company
• 5 or more years experience (2+ years in a management/supervisory capacity)
• Knowledge and experience with large ERPs, intercompany accounting and transfer pricing
• Advanced MS Excel (VLOOK Up, Pivot Tables, etc.)
