job summary:
Tatum is seeking an up and coming Senior Accountant or experienced Staff Accountant to take the next step in their career into a management position. We are seeking someone with at least 5 years of progressive accounting experience and some management experience either in accounting or from a previous position.
In this role you will be overseeing the month end and year end close, preparing financial statements, and oversee a small team of remote clerks that assist in the day to day company transactions. These clerks will be working remotely, so experience managing remote employees is required.
In order to be considered for this position, you must have a bachelors in accounting or finance, have a manufacturing background, and have 5 years of accounting experience.
This position is remote with travel once a quarter to the company headquarters in Deerfield Beach, FL. Fluency in Spanish is preferred.

- Prepare and oversee financial statements and ensure their accuracy
- Manage monthly and annual close process which includes preparing journal entries and reconciliations
- Work with internal tax accountants to prepare tax returns
- Lead a remote team of accountants and provide training and development as needed
- Prepare company for annual review and or audit
- Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial data
