The Accounting Manager is an organized individual that can multi-task with excellent communication skills, overseeing the general accounting operations related to a $10M information services business and the SEC reporting for the company. This role will have responsibility for producing financial reports allowing management to make informed and timely decisions.

    responsibilities:

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Active involvement in day to day operational accounting activities, prepares financial reports for internal and external use, monthly and quarterly reconciliations
    • Analyze the general ledger for a $10M entity, review journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as well as detailed workpaper files on a monthly basis
    • Review results of operations and provide detailed explanations of variances, work with operations to prepare project budget, and create new processes to improve financial efficiency
    • Must be able to develop standards, analyze information, deal with complexity & report results
    • Maintain and manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation
    • Interprets financial transactions and resolves accounting discrepancies
    • Manages month/quarter/year-end closing processes to include maintaining and communicating closing schedules
    • Performs financial analysis of accounting data and transactions to identify significant fluctuations for review and accuracy
    • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, and indirect expenses
    • Manages payroll for a small office
    • Perform special projects when needed and provide support to Leadership teams
     
    qualifications:

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
    • Minimum 3+ experience in accounting
    • Experience with SEC reporting or auditing public companies
    • The ideal candidate will exhibit attention to detail, can work independently and collaboratively with the CFO and operates well with evolving priorities
