Our client, a high growth, innovative venture capital backed firm is looking to hire a skilled Accounting Manager. This newly created role will oversee the monthly and quarterly accounting close process, guiding a team of 1-3 personnel to close the periods within set dates. As part of the close, the Accounting Manager would prepare and review schedules that support the firm's 10Q/K filings, as well as act as the point of contact for the firm's compliance, SOX, and UK statutory audits and various service providers.

responsibilities:
- Responsible for oversight, review, and preparation of monthly and quarterly accounting close - Requires an understanding of debt borrowing accounting, stock-based compensation accounting, lease accounting, intercompany transactions, foreign currency translation, and GAAP consolidation and analysis.
- Prepare and / or review key schedules supporting disclosures for the quarterly 10Q / 10K filings
- Preparing and / or reviewing the statement of cash flows, NAV roll-forward, earnings per share calculations, financial highlights, control & affiliate schedules, performing a S-X 3-09 and 3-10 analysis, among other schedules.
- Primary point of contact for internal and external auditors
qualifications:
- B.S. or B.A. degree required. CPA required.
- 6-8 years' experience in accounting positions.
- Professional experience in a financial services environment preferred.
