job summary:

Exciting Accounts Payable Manager Opportunity to join a growing hospitality group in the Fairfield Country area,. You will assist with the management and daily functions of the Accounts Payable (AP) department. It is a very relaxed environment that offers a great work life balance. It will report to the Controller.

      responsibilities:

      RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

      • Manages and supervises the AP Department and its organization.
      • Manages the accounts payable process and various accounting projects.
      • Overseeing all tax-related transactions; including 1099 reporting.
      • Negotiating payment terms with vendors and suppliers.
      • Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial information.
      • Developing and improving processes to gain efficiencies in the AP process.
      • Communicating with all restaurants and all departments to ensure vendor payments are approved.
      • Reconciling vendor statements for completeness.
      • Generating journal support for month end reporting.
      • Building and maintaining relationships with employees, clients, vendors, and lenders.
      • Perform other duties as assigned.
       
      qualifications:

      EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

      • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field.
      • 3+ years of experience in a high volume accounts payable environment.
      • 2+ years of supervisory experience is preferred but not required.
