job summary:

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the month-end and annual close processes including review and approval of monthly reconciliations.
  • Ensure all financial reporting is timely and accurately prepared in compliance with financial policies and requirements.
  • Manage the Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payable and assist with resolving account balances and cash flow management.
  • Establish strong internal controls, streamline existing processes and develop continuous improvement measures.
  • Maintain the integrity of financial data, provide technical accounting guidelines and support to staff.
  • Support the completion of tax reporting requirements, insurance reports, and other schedules.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
  • Hire, train, and mentor staff.
  • Manage staff priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Lead internal audit preparation and resolve findings.
  • Special projects and ad-hoc reporting.

Requirements:

  • BS in Accounting or Finance, CPA required.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Prior experience managing staff.
  • Attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to effectively prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to multi-task, critical and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively across functions, and drive company results.
  • A strong technical understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) is a must.
  • Ability to efficiently work in a fast-growing business environment.
  • AP/AR/GL/Cost Accounting experience is a plus
