Our client is looking for a talented, self-motivated, and overall awesome person to join their team! The Assistant Controller is an important member of the Accounting team and oversees the day-to-day functions of the accounting

department. The ideal candidate have their CPA license and will be able to leverage their experience and GAAP knowledge to provide hands-on leadership of

day-to-day accounting responsibilities across multiple businesses. Manufacturing industry experience is ideal - we will look at resumes with manufacturing AUDIT experience as well. Big 4 or tier 2 audit experience is highly preferred.

Oversee daily operations of the accounting department in accordance with GAAP and IFRS and to ensure accurate and timely financial reports.

Manage cash position and forecast. Prepare weekly cash forecasts and daily cash reporting. Provide management with cash analyses/rollforward daily. Cash is king!

Work closely with Credit and AP to ensure cash forecast accuracy.

Own monthly close processes across multiple businesses and multiple ERP systems. Ensure all financial statements are

issued timely and in accordance with GAAP. Prepare/review journal entries and account reconciliations.

Manage consolidation of financial statements for multiple businesses utilizing consolidation software.

Lead decentralized A/P team and actively manage vendor payments to maximize cash position. Improve A/P processes

across multiple businesses.

Prepare monthly financial statements, owner reporting packages, bank reporting and Board Meeting reports.

Perform technical accounting research and assess implications to the Company. Document the Company's position.

Support Controller in coordinating external audits and income tax reporting.

Provide guidance and assistance to other finance team members, including A/R, Brand Controllers and Cost Accounting.

Supervise and mentor staff.


Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance

5+ years' relevant work experience.

Prior experience with cash management is strongly preferred.

1-3 years supervisory/management experience, strong leadership and supervisory skills.

Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP.
