responsibilities:
- Lead accounting period close activity which will include preparation and review of journal entries, monthly balance sheet reconciliations, actual vs forecast variance analysis, monthly HFM/Tagetik submissions due to the
- Corporate Reporting team
- Lead and supervise the accounts payable and accounts receivable function
- Proactively review and improve current procedures and processes to ensure timely monthly close, accuracy of accounting entries, and operational efficiency
- Responsible for inventory costing including setting up and monitoring standard costing, inter- company transfer pricing overhead capitalization, PPV, E&O processes, ensure verification of physical inventory Working capital monitoring and weekly reporting Ensure site authority approval matrix is followed
- Support yearly budgeting activity and monthly rolling forecasts
- Responsible for internal and external audit requirements
- Partner with the Corporate Tax team for various tax submissions and renewal filings
- Manage ecommerce website related revenue recognition
- Perform research and make recommendations for complex accounting scenarios
- Assist in implementing, maintaining, and monitoring corporate accounting policies and procedures; and assist in internal control and process documentation
- Preparation and supervision of Sarbanes-Oxley testing & reporting of results, and analyze internal control environment and correct deficiencies
- Manage assigned projects and collaborate with cross-functional team members in delivering high quality, decision ready information to our business partners
qualifications:
- Excellent analytical, creative problem solving, organizational, time management and project management skills
- Strong sense of ownership and curiosity to learn new skills
- Takes initiative to implement changes that will simplify and improve processes
- Willing to tackle challenges in a continuously changing environment
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required (such as VLOOKUP's, conditional statements, pivot tables, data analysis, data visualization, what-if-analysis)
- Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously by prioritizing tasks
- Cross functional collaboration to ensure meet common goals
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with prior experience interacting with varying levels of internal and external customers
Education and Experience Requirements
- CPA preferred
- Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting or equivalent experience is required
- At least 4 years of manufacturing environment experience is required
- Experience in Costing function
- Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP
- Previous managerial experience preferred
- Audit support experience preferred and public accounting experience a plus
- Exposure to ERP a must, Oracle & Hyperion financial management experience preferred
