job summary:

Leading publicly traded biotech company is looking for an Associate Director of Accounting to their growing team. You will be supporting the VP Finance with responsibilities focused on accounting operations (procure to pay, payroll, expense), financial close/expense accrual process, and SOX 404B compliance.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and proactive Associate Director of Accounting Operations to join a company with an industry-leading Board of Directors, Management Team, and biotech investors, and who is willing to roll up his/her sleeves to build an innovative women's oncology company with significant potential to transform breast cancer treatments.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage financial close related activities, including cash reconciliation, prepaid, expense accruals, fixed assets, and related reconciliations with strong GAAP knowledge.
  • Oversee full cycle of Procurement to Payable process.
  • Responsible for the procurement system implementation and ongoing workflow.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate payroll and related tax compliance (including ESPP and stock options)
  • Manage expense reports via Concur and corporate credit card programs.
  • Work closely with external auditors on quarterly reviews and annual audits, provide PBC schedules and respond to auditor inquiries and potential audit issues.
  • Key process owner in SOX 404B implementation and maintains ongoing compliance.
  • Able to identify, optimize and automate accounting processes and drive efficient and streamlined close process.
  • Key member in ERP and other financial systems implementation with a thorough understanding of accounting operations workflow.

Requirements:
