Our client, a growing Technology Service Company seeks an Assistant Controller to join their team. Their ideal candidate will haver advanced knowledge of GAAP, payroll, accrual-based accounting and financial reporting.

responsibilities:
- Perform and manage designated accounting functions in timely manner with a high degree of accuracy
- Manage all aspects of the general ledger in accordance with GAAP
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
- Maintain and review all balance sheet accounts and supporting lead schedules
- Perform month end close and preparation of journal entries
- Account variance analysis and investigations
- Assist in preparation of monthly/quarterly and year-end financial statements for review by controller
- Manage and review work of Senior Accountant and AR clerk
- Enforce company policies and procedures
- Establish and maintain internal controls
- Ability to collaborate with all levels of management
- Review of employee T&E reimbursements
- Assist with year-end audit
- Routinely identify efficiencies and areas of improvement in scope and processes
- Research accounting issues for compliance with GAAP
qualifications:
To be considered candidates must have:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred; Business Administration, Accounting or related fields preferred.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of GAAP and accrual-based accounting
- Experience with NetSuite preferred
- Minimum 5-7 years strong accounting experience, public accounting experience preferred
- Strong computer skills required (MS Excel, Outlook, Word)
