job summary:
A Bethel based company is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Billing Supervisor to oversee the invoicing function of their company. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the invoicing process across various platforms, ranging from small regional accounts to key national and enterprise accounts. Your focus will be on ensuring timely invoicing, resolving disputes, supporting cash flow, and improving past due collections. Additionally, you will supervise a team of 7 Billing Specialists to optimize invoicing efficiency and process development based on business requirements. Managing billing disputes and mitigating revenue risk will also be part of your responsibilities, working in close collaboration with the Billing Director.

responsibilities:
- Supervise and guide the Billing team, overseeing all invoicing activities.
- Ensure timely billing of work orders based on customer contracts.
- Analyze billing reports, with attention to accounts that have not been billed.
- Facilitate timely submission of invoices through third-party invoicing portals.
- Establish best practices to enhance current processes.
- Address potential problem accounts by initiating timely follow-up
- Prepare reconciliations for month-end reporting.
- Assist with cash application information and reconcile accounts as necessary.
- Support other department heads and colleagues reporting
- Coordinate month-end and year-end close.
qualifications:
- BS degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience in Billing, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 3-5 years of management experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in billing and improving billing efficiencies.
