job summary:
The Controller manages the finance and accounting function for the assigned business unit(s)
("BU"); providing information about company activities that will assist management in making
educated economic decisions. This role is responsible for the BU's monthly close process, the
consolidation of financial reports for assigned entity(s) and ensuring that appropriate policies
and procedures are met.
Responsibilities include generating monthly financial statements, operational analysis, project
milestone review & billing, depreciation, G/L, budgeting and forecasting, inventory control,
internal controls, payroll, and cash management. Reports to the Corporate Controller with a
dotted line to the location's President.

responsibilities:
- Reports to CFO, the BU Controller drives financial decisions for the
- Prepare monthly financial statements, lead month-end totaling over $50M
- Responsible for all company account reconciliation, reporting, budgets and forecasting
- Strategic planning provides leadership and direction in the development of planning
- Gathers, prepares data, and provides recommendations and reports for executive committee
- Oversees projects and implement, and maintain automation of the accounting department
- Establishes and maintains controls over inventory accuracy, completeness, and valuation
- Oversees the activities of the Accounting Department to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, including billings, cash control, employee expense reports, and customer relationship management;
- Leads the budget planning process, supports leadership in managing their responsibilities, and continual improvement of the budgeting process through education of department managers
- Provides strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization; i.e., evaluation of potential alliances, acquisitions, and/or mergers
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of 6 years work experience
- Fluency with the general ledger, creating financial statements and month end close
- Driven by career growth and possess a process improvement mindset
- Mixed experience in public accounting and industry is an added value
- ERP experience with in Great Plains is an added value
- All industry backgrounds; Warehouse, Engineering, Automation, Manufacturing add value
