job summary:

Global real estate development company is looking for a Finance Director for their Google Development joint venture team. This development will take 15-20 years to complete with an estimated end development value of approximately $15 billion. Reports to the Executive GM of Finance and responsible for the financial performance, financial management, control, analysis and reporting for the Google Development Project.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key business partner to the Head of Development.
  • Provide financial and commercial input to the development plans of the District and underlying projects.
  • Interact and align with the Commercial Directors of the various Districts to successfully deliver consistent messaging across analyses on various product types and topics.
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities during the entitlement process that could strengthen the Development Team's positioning regarding its Entitlement endeavors.·
  • Work on various product types - real estate valuations ranging from: Office, Retail, Residential (For Sale / Rent), Hospitality, etc.
  • Perform strategic financial analysis to review District performance and key trends against objectives.
  • Oversee and manage internal and external reporting requirements to ensure consistency, accuracy and timeliness of financial and non-financial reporting to achieve regulatory and business outcomes.
  • Prepare presentations to Google regarding various development topics ranging from (Affordable Housing, Community Benefits, Infrastructure, etc.).
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with Development Services Agreement milestones and obligations working with the Head of Development.
  • Manage resourcing in line with growth of the District. Prepare resource plans for finance and development teams and implement these in line with Google's objectives.
  • Mentor and support team members through training and feedback to encourage and develop internal capabilities and ensure that staff are adequately resourced to perform.
  • Manage the Finance team's workload and identify critical items that should prioritized based on internal and external stakeholder's requests.
