job summary:

Government Contracts Controller

The Controller will report to the Chief Accounting Officer and VP, Global Public Sector and be a key business leader responsible for supporting the company operating units and their finance teams to ensure compliance with federal procurement rules and regulations. The Controller will collaborate with various operating unit financial teams and senior management, along with corporate office personnel to ensure operating units are meeting or exceeding financial and compliance commitments as they relate to government contracts.

responsibilities:
  • Help ensure operating unit proposals, records, and statements correctly reflect the company's financial position in accordance with applicable regulations and standards including but not limited to TINA and CAS.
  • Review CAS disclosure statements and support internal accounting changes, initial adoptions, and impact analysis.
  • Support internal and external audits of government contracts by DCAA, DCMA, or primes as applicable.
  • Support development of certified and other-than-certified cost or pricing data proposals.
  • Support each operating unit in the evaluation and execution of new business opportunities.
  • Prepare financial analysis to support customer quoting process and investment decisions.
  • Support functional leaders to achieve Productivity/Cost Improvement commitment.
  • Participate or lead special projects as required.
 
qualifications:
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive Accounting and Finance experience specifically in the area of US Government procurement accounting rules and regulations.
  • Experience with government auditors including the Defense Contract Audit Agency in auditof proposals, ongoing projects, and completed contracts.
  • Ability to effectively manage people, projects, and tasks ensuring appropriate responsiveness and priority.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced capabilities with Excel.

This position is based in Washington DC. Annual salary range is $150,000 - 175,000.
