responsibilities:
- Ensure the timely and accurate accounting treatment of all transactions under US GAAP, including day-to-day transactions
- Review month end close package, reconciliations and journal entries prepared by Accounting team
- Partnering with organization leaders to develop budgets and ensure teams operate within budget allocations.
- Creating and maintaining three to five-year strategic financial projections that incorporate growth plans and changing organization needs
- Oversee the monthly and quarterly state sales tax return
- Enhance the cash flow projections including enhanced inventory reporting (to accurately predict timing of cash outflows related to inventory purchases)
- Implement industry standard best practices across new and existing workflows with a focus on optimization and the reduction of manual processes.
- Perform monthly analysis of Inventory & overhead and discuss the variances with the plant head.
- Managing and lead a team of staff members-including accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial planning, and payroll teams-to ensure they are coached, developed, and well positioned to achieve their goals.
- Fostering a team culture that embodies a customer service orientation where staff communicate regularly with stakeholders in order to anticipate challenges and engage in proactive problem solving.
- Representing the client to external auditors, financial institutions, and taxing authorities.
- Working with Procurement and Sales team and review suppliers and customers contract
- Working with Insurance broker for renewal of various business insurances
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- CPA/CMA or equivalent degree highly preferred
- A minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing with deep expertise in finance and accounting
- Strong people manager and developer with demonstrated success managing people and teams
- Exceptional analytical, strategic and critical thinking skills with demonstrated experience identifying problems and implementing solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
