job summary:

Tatum is seeking a Controller for a rapidly growing company in the Charlotte area. The Controller will be manage all aspects of the company's financial processes and maintaining accurate, relevant and timely financial records and reports.

responsibilities:
  • Provide accurate, relevant and timely financial information to the Executive Team and Operational Leaders.
  • Direct all accounting functions to comply with an accelerated month-end closing and reporting schedule while adhering to Company controls, policies and procedures.
  • Effectively interact as a member of management providing sound financial advice and summarizing financial data as needed by senior management.
  • Provide functional guidance to internal departments in various matters including financial reporting, cost controls and budgeting/forecasting.
  • Manage, recruit, train and develop accounting personnel (local and remote) to ensure the department is completing required tasks effectively and efficiently.
  • Maintain cash management policies in accordance with Company policies and provide weekly cash flow projections.
 
qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • CPA or CMA preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant experience with 3+ years overseeing company-wide accounting functions as Controller or equivalent
  • SOX experience preferred
  • Ability to organize, train, direct and develop personnel, and to plan and coordinate timely accomplishments of responsibilities
  • Understanding of data process capabilities and operations as it relates to accounting, financial controls and business functions
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and enterprise accounting and financial reporting systems
