job summary:

Fast growing, high tech hardware/software company with cutting edge technology is looking for a Controller. Reporting to the CFO, you will be a key contributor and leader for the financial operations of a rapidly growing company, providing technical accounting expertise, improvement of financial processes and development of a high performing accounting team. You must be a hands-on, roll up your sleeves type of manager and should enjoy a fast-paced, start-up environment. The position requires strong financial, accounting and management skills, a strong business sense and the ability to understand the big picture while being detail oriented.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial reports/statements
  • Ensure all accounting practices are in compliance with established accounting principles
  • Overseeing general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, taxes, etc.
  • Manage the implementation of internal control processes
  • Support systems and process roll out and implementation
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual operating budgets
  • Manage the relationship with external auditors and own the successful completion of the year-end audit and quarterly reviews
  • Manage the company's equity incentive plan and employee stock purchase plan
  • Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • 10+ years in related experience, technology experience preferred
  • CPA with a bachelor's degree in finance / accounting required
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in US GAAP
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Experience with various ERP systems
