Our Client is a Not-for-Profit organization who will consider those with either Not-for-Profit or For-Profit Accounting experience.

This Controller role reports directly to the CFO and is a highly visible position within the organization.

    responsibilities:

    Job duties for the Controller position include, but are not limited to:

    • Overseeing and assisting with periodic financial closings including preparing financial statements.
    • Overseeing and assisting with bank and G/L account reconciliations, preparing and posting journal entries, and supporting the A/P & A/R functions.
    • Assisting with the annual Audit and Tax return preparation.
    • Developing and implementing policies and procedures and maintaining appropriate internal controls.
    • Mentoring and guiding a small team of Accounting professionals.
     
    qualifications:

    Requirements for the Controller position include, but are not limited to:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's degree, preferred.
    • At least 7-years of related experience. Not-for-Profit experience, preferred. For-Profit experience will be considered.
    • Previous Public Accounting experience, preferred.
    • Supervisory experience.
    • Experience with implementing an ERP application, preferred.
    • Passed the CPA exam, highly preferred.
    • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
    • Excellent communication abilities and strong professionalism.
