Tatum is recruiting for an experienced hands-on Controller to lead the day-to-day accounting functions for our client that is a $20M Hospitality company located in Leesburg, VA. The ideal Controller will be hands-on and oversee accounting operations, and drive process improvements. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity to start and is an immediate need!
The compensation range for this opportunity is $45 to $50/hr. with flexibility based on previous experience!

responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain the organization's accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives
- Establish and maintain written policies and procedures as they pertain to maintenance of internal controls and accounting policies worldwide
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes
- Supervise and assist in developing staff
- Coordinate Annual External Financial Statement Audit
- Monitor internal financial and accounting controls over payroll, receipts, disbursements, and other processes
- Responsible for federal and state tax filings and other statutory financial reports
- Assist the CFO with cash flow management
- Prepare and review of month end financials with the CFO
qualifications:
- 5+ years of Accounting Management experience required; 2 years of Hospitality Accounting experience required
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance required; CPA preferred
