Tatum by Randstad is working with a Private Equity owned manufacturing organization located in the beutiful Ocean County, New Jersey area. They are currently looking for a Hands-On Corporate Controller to join their growing business. This is a fantastic opportunity with a fast growing organization. The Corporate Controller is responsible for providing financial analysis, developing and maintaining a documented system of accounting processes, and preparing accurate and timely financial reports. This is a hands-on position where you will be directly responsible for closing the books, completing account analysis, and completing journal entries. You will be a key member of the Executive Team who ensures we are able to sustainably support our mission while leading the accounting team.

Lead the accounting team of up to three to five employees and contract resources across three different business units: manufacturing, installation, and maintenance

• Complete month-end close procedures, including preparing journal entries with supporting documentation
• Develop and prepare monthly KPI and financial reports for internal and external use
• Manage day to day functions of A/P and A/R
• Establish effective internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP
• Support the annual budgeting process
• Lead the annual Financial Audit
• Acquisition accounting and opening balance sheets
• Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and filings
• Coordinate and manage annual tax and audit reporting with outside CPA firm
• Participate as an executive leader in frequent open dialogue and exchange of ideas with the CEO, Leadership Team, and Board of Advisors

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with a CPA and/or MBA designations are a plus but not required
• 7+ years of progressively successful managerial experience leading accounting and finance functions, preferably with a mixture of public accounting and controller or accounting manager ready for your next step.
• Hands-on, team-oriented, energetic, and dynamic leader who regularly interacts with other functions to provide support and analysis
• Experience in manufacturing industry required
• Knowledge of accrual accounting processes and procedures
• Knowledge of state and federal tax laws
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP
