job summary:

Rapidly Growing Technology Company seeks a Controller who is passionate about financial reporting, data analytics, and managing the close and day to day operations of our company.

     
    location: New York, New York
    job type: Permanent
    salary: $120,000 - 140,000 per year
    work hours: 9 to 6
    education: Bachelor's degree
    experience: 7 Years
     
    responsibilities:

    Completely own all aspects of financial reporting & accounting operations

    • Completely manages the financial reporting process in accordance with U.S. GAAP, including delivering the monthly reporting packages by the 20th of each month
    • Responsible for day to day operations
    • Automates and standardizes, where possible, the close and financial reporting process
    • Ensures cash is managed appropriately with the proper internal controls
    • Completes required audit documentation in an accurate and timely manner
    • Owns the consolidation of financial reporting for our lenders / management / GAAP across all subsidiary entities"
     
    qualifications:
    • 5+ years of public and private accounting (ideally big 4), banking, and/or private equity experience, with increasing responsibility and 2+ years directly managing a team
    • Deep understanding of GAAP accounting experience with the audit process. Knowledge of Revenue Recognition a plus
    • Experience with M&A and on-boarding add-on acquisitions
    • Proficient at complex financial modeling and budgeting
    • 4-year degree in finance, accounting, or related program
    • CPA a plus, but not required
