job summary:

Tatum is seeking Controllers in the San Diego area to join our interim team. On assignment, controllers will be responsible for directing operations of various departments including Accounting, Information Systems, Procurement, and Human Resources, as well as act as a business partner to the management team, driving compliance and maximizing profitability. Average assignments last for 3-6 months, with some leading to conversion based on client needs, performance, and overall fit. Please see below for a more detailed job description.

responsibilities:

Responsibilities

  • Identify key levers to drive business improvement and provide leadership to ensure implementation of business improvement opportunities
  • Work with plant leadership on achieving targeted goals for performance measures of quality, productivity, delivery, cycle time, inventory optimization, and profitability
  • Deploy business unit initiatives
  • Forecast, analyze, and plan business results
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ensure compliance with business unit financial reporting requirements
  • Supervise a team of financial professionals
 
qualifications:

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or similar discipline is required
  • 7-10 years minimum of diversified accounting experience including general accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate accounting activities
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals
