responsibilities:
- Hands on leader who directs and evaluates the accounting, finance & purchasing departments.
- Leads a team covering all accounting functions, month end close, financial statements, general ledger, billing, AP/AR, product costing, payroll, commissions, and inventory.
- Prepare forecasts, budgets, cash flow, bank line of credit, and works with external accountants on the audit and tax related queries.
- Inventory, purchasing, product costing, annual budgeting, weekly forecasting, operating metrics, and benchmark reporting.
- Implement and establish internal controls and policies, comply with tax filings and monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants.
- Works with outside CPA and Tax firms, reviews company contracts, and sits on the leadership committee.
qualifications:
- 6+ years experience, bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Experience in a small to medium organization, and experience with inventory based business.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and growing business wearing many hats, adding strategic and commercial value to business impacting decisions.
