Chief Operating Officer

A privately owned company with $18mm - $25mm annual revenue based in Dallas. TX. This role offers the opportunity to grow, but production is the key! The company has 15 manufacturing team members as well as 60 -70 installation team members?. Recently moved to new manufacturing facility with ability to expand.

responsibilities:

Key for the Chief Operating Officer:

Manage production, maintenance and materials. Meet production schedules and drive LEAN activities to improve KPI's. Interface with all levels of employees and be wiling to mentor, coach and develop your team. Improve quality and manufacturing processes. Planning and execution are key Ensure safety programs, policies and procedures are being met.

  • Shipping and Receiving
  • Equipment Maintenance
  • Shared oversight of engineering
  • Quality control - new function/role
  • Deep understanding of capacity and production planning
 
qualifications:
  • BS degree
  • 8 + years in a heavy machining and / or metals processing environment.
  • Hands-on leadership style.
  • Expertise in organization of manufacturing process, equipment and material layout
  • Expertise with LEAN principles
  • Deep understanding of how engineering operates
  • Deep understanding of production forecasting and scheduling
  • Ability to operate in a Just In Time inventory environment
  • Experience with MRP systems and paperless processes
