job summary:

The Corporate Accountant position is a direct hire role with a global pharmaceutical company north of Boston. Excellent opportunity to work in a complex, fast paced company that offers stability and career development opportunities.

The Corporate Accountant will focus on a wide range of financial accounting duties such as maintaining the general ledger, participating in the month end close, assisting with financial statement preparation, as well as preparing complex journal entries, reconciliations, fixed assets, accruals, financial analysis and much more.

responsibilities:

Duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Maintaining the general ledger
  • Assist with the month end close process, financial statement preparation and consolidation
  • Support financial reporting
  • Create and enter complex and adjusting entries
  • Reconcile Balance sheet and Income Statement
  • Prepare analysis on wide range of areas including cash, variance, financial statements, prepaid and expenses
  • Maintain fixed assets
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Ad hoc analysis and special financial projects
 
qualifications:
The ideal profile will include:
  • BS in Accounting or Finance
  • 2 or more years of relevant accounting experience
  • CPA is preferred
  • Public accounting is desired (or publicly traded org)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Self motivated with ability to work independently and in team environment
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP
