Newly created, direct hire Corporate Tax Accountant role. This position is a high profile, high exposure position offering a very good work life balance and culture.

This is an ideal opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of tax related tasks including tax compliance, reporting, and planning, as well as preparing provisions, Fed/State returns and notices, and quarterly payments.

responsibilities:

The Tax Accountant duties will assist with:

  • Analyze tax compliance issues including policies and procedures
  • Research and interpret tax laws in support of leadership and their decision making
  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of income tax returns on quarterly/annual basis
  • Responsible for sales/use filings; work with external firm on filings
  • Tax related forecasting
  • Resolve income tax notices sent by federal, state, and local jurisdictions and in so doing reduce tax, penalties, and interest when possible
  • Assist in preparation of business property returns, and prep of annual business license returns
  • Assist with tax related audits

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • 2+ years of relevant tax experience
  • Ability to work in with changing priorities
  • Self motivated, desire to succeed
  • Team player
  • MUST BE LOCAL TO GREATER BOSTON

The position will start off remote, but will revert to hybrid remote post COVID in 2022
