responsibilities:

Responsible for cost accounting processes including monthly cost close, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and audit support. This position will interact with all levels of the organization and lead special, cross functional projects.

  • Monthly inventory close including reconciling monthly inventory to ledger, break out of specific inventory categories and analysis on inventory variances generated.
  • Maintain standard costs and cost rollups for all inventory items as needed.
  • Maintain and analyze monthly inventory variances, and releasing variances to COGS when sold.
  • Oversee preparation and documentation of financial and trends analysis
  • Manage inventory reserve process
  • Tracking, analyzing and reporting on material scrap. Provide management with a monthly report of actual scrap, scrap accruals, and inventory at risk.
  • Monthly accruals for manufacturing operations.
  • Monitor daily production transactions, identify and address transactional issues with Operations, proactively managing Cost processes outside of close.
  • Perform Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliation, monthly financial reporting and analysis
  • Provides forecasting and supporting analytical review.
  • Manage fixed asset process: partner with the business to identify assets which should be placed into service, perform impairment checks and support accounting external reporting on fixed assets
  • Performs other duties as required.
 
qualifications:

The ideal profile will include

  • 4 year college degree
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in cost accounting
  • Fixed Assets
  • Cost analysis
  • 2+ years in product driven environment
  • Business partnering experience; ability to communicate with all levels to interpret/improve financial performance
