job summary:

The Director of Accounting and Reporting will have responsibility for the Company's corporate accounting reporting function, including the oversight of the global financial consolidation process, technical accounting and internal and external reporting processes. This role will need to have the proven ability to lead projects independently with excellent written and verbal skills. This person must be able to translate financial information to various business audiences to drive decision making and demonstrate ability to persuasively present complex business issues and solutions in a clear and concise manner. This is the perfect role for someone ready to move from a Manager to Director role. My client is open for someone straight out of Public Accounting! Hybrid work schedule (1-2 Days in the office)

responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate consolidation of all Company subsidiaries' financial results on a monthly basis;
  • Responsible for performing all technical accounting research related to complex accounting matters and documenting the Company's positions and comprehensive accounting treatment in memoranda;
  • Lead role in adoption and implementation of new accounting standards;
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, including preparation of various quarterly and annual reports, as well as compliance certificates;
  • Review supplemental forms, roll-forwards and accounts on a consolidated basis as well as for each individual subsidiary;
  • Implement process improvements to streamline the monthly close, reduce cycle time and improve information quality;
  • Partner with other functions to drive process improvements and efficiencies;
  • Assisting in mergers, acquisitions, due diligence or dispositions of companies including valuation of the opening balance sheet accounts;
 
qualifications:
  • Minimum 7 years accounting experience, including experience with technical accounting research;
  • Experience with OneStream preferred;
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Previous experience managing staff required
  • Public/Big 4 and private accounting experience preferred
  • CPA required
  • Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable, but not required
  • Requires a strong team player who can also work with minimal supervision. (1 Person)
