job summary:
Highly successful consumer goods manufacturer is looking for a Director of Accounting. You will be supporting the VP Finance overseeing accounting/finance and operations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all general accounting functions including accounts payable, payroll/401K administration, inter-company accounting, fixed assets, reconciliations, monthly and annual closing processes, GL review and balance sheet management.
- Ensuring internal controls are in place and appropriate accounting policies and procedures are adhered to in order to provide assurance as to the integrity of the Company's accounting records and that the company assets are protected.
- Oversee the Company's banking, treasury and cash management activities including maintenance and monitoring of all insurance policies and procedures.
- Oversee the Company's travel policies, fleet of vehicles, and travel processing and accounting.
- Manage month end close and annual financial reporting.
- Research technical accounting issues and provide technical accounting guidance to the business.
- Responsible for the proper timing and application of revenue recognition rules.
- Ownership of the annual audit and independent auditor relationship management.
- Leading, directing, and coaching the finance teams while developing an internal culture of strong cross functional working relationships and promoting a positive, customer service focused daily presence.

BS degree
CPA
10+ years of experience with public accounting and private industry
