job summary:

Tatum is seeking a Director of FP&A for a manufacturing and distribution company in Stanislaus County, Northern California.

This position will lead budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year modeling/reporting efforts and functional disciplines to provide the highest caliber of quality financial information, that is accurate, comprehensive, and insightful.

This position will also partner with the Controller in the development of a roadmap and implementation to manage data more effectively and efficiently as well as design uniform processes, enhance business controls, and other procedures to improve efficiencies across the organization while improving visibility to costs and performance.

responsibilities:

Primary duties of the Director of FP&A include but are not limited to:

  • Develop an FP&A function and partner closely with Accounting and Business leaders to provide value-added insight into the business, including with respect to: financial reporting, gross margins, operating profit, and capital investments across the Company's key growth initiatives and various management and Board reporting

    requirements.

  • Lead FP&A in delivery of monthly and quarterly reporting packages and executive decks that include forecasts, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), operational Dashboard reporting, analysis of key business trends, actual-to-

    date and final versus budget variances and comprehensive executive level highlights and explanations of differences.

  • Design roadmap and continuous process/control improvement plans, leading implementation of both, including application/system change management for increased efficiency and effectiveness of data.
 
qualifications:

Ideal candidates for the Director of FP&A will meet the following requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in business finance roles, with at least 5+ years in senior financial management roles in controlling, FP&A.
  • Background in food/agriculture industry
  • Experience building models and systems from scratch
  • Accounting and Cost Accounting experience is a plus
  • Strong Excel skills is a must
