job summary:

Tatum has been engaged by a client to help hire a Director of Infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity to join a very well respected organization and help support their continued growth and expansion plans. This person will work for a talented and proven CIO and help drive change and optimization across the company. This person will direct IT infrastructure operations and work alongside the executive leadership team in developing strategic initiatives. This role leads the entire IT enterprise Infrastructure that includes headquarters, regional operations, colocation data centers and training and service centers. This person will drive continuous improvement throughout the team and address any gaps in security hardening technology, connectivity, virtualization and collaboration.

responsibilities:
  • Assess, interpret and recommend solutions to enhance the capabilities of computer operations.
  • Create, direct and initiate plans and upgrade paths for the migration of legacy core systems and stay within scope and budget.
  • Develop and maintain processes and procedures to mature IT governance framework.
  • Manage expenses within department and meeting budget goals and objectives.
  • Select and oversee partner relationships to ensure organization receives satisfactory standards of service.
  • Lead and manage network operations, business continuance and develop pre-planned routes to restore service.
  • Oversee, lead, monitor and report on physical operations of Data Centers, Servers, Storage and Networks according to SLAs.
  • Analyze and interpret production, maintenance and outage records to identify problems/solutions-ex.: changes to procedures, workflow and equipment-to improve performance and increase capacity.
  • Create, manage and forecast capacity requirements based on business needs and IT infrastructure growth capacity.
 
qualifications:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or related field
  • Must have MS Azure experience
  • Need experience with colocation, hybrid model or migration experience
  • 10+ years in directly related work experience
  • Excellent technical knowledge in Microsoft, Cisco, VMWare, cloud, EMC, etc.
  • Strong communication skills, proven abilities to communicate across an organization
  • Proven leadership and management abilities
  • Good experience with problem-solving and decision making skills
