My client is hiring a Director of SEC Reporting and Compliance. responsibilities:

Role & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for corporate and technical accounting
  • Manages eliminations, equity arrangements, new equity, investments, new debt and intercompany structures
  • Provides new accounting topics that include partnering with internal and external auditors to ensure all aspects are aligned
  • Responsible for the collaborating and liaising with all areas of the financial team to implement operational form and provide guidance for ensuring projects to closure
  • Manages team members by ensuring guidance, mentorship and strong leadership
  • Reviews financial statements such as the balance sheet and P&L on a monthly basis
  • Reviews audit deliverables and financial statements to ensure all auditing requests are completed in a timely manner
  • Develop and implement change management for the organization to ensure process improvement such as ASC 842 system
  • Oversees departmental operations including but not limited to budget management, staffing, internal/external communications and change management
 
qualifications:

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Master's Degree in Accounting preferred
  • CPA required
  • Big Four Accounting desired
  • 10 or more years of progressive experience in Accounting/Financial field
  • 3-5 years of experience in leadership
  • Public accounting firm experience required
  • Experience with GAAP, current financial trends, consolidated corporate financial operations and intercompany accounting
  • Experience leading annual financial audits, SOX Compliance and experience with Uniform Guidance (formerly A-133) requirements
