job summary:

Fast growing oncology company is looking for a Director of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting . This position is "hands on" and will be responsible for a broad range of activities including external reporting, technical accounting, external audit, SOX compliance, clinical trial and contract manufacturing accounting, financial close and special projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the company's SEC reporting function, including but not limited to preparation of Forms 10-K, 10-Q etc, working with legal team and external auditors, managing tie-outs and internal / external review of all documents incorporating into the documents to ensure timely and accurate filing.
  • Lead the implementation and management of external reporting solution.
  • Complete external reporting and GAAP checklists and review XBRL tagging.·Ensure annual and quarterly financial statements are prepared accurately, timely and presented in accordance with GAAP & SEC guidelines.
  • Perform research and draft technical accounting memos related to new and proposed accounting standards and complex accounting transactions in compliance with US GAAP and external reporting regulations.
  • Responsible for equity accounting related to share-based compensation, EPS and related forecasting process.
  • Support and review annual proxy and other SEC files ensuring accuracy of applicable financial information
  • Work closely with external auditors on quarterly reviews and annual audits
  • Manage and review clinical and contract manufacturing accruals.
  • Participate in SOX 404 implementation and maintain ongoing compliance.
  • Support the finance and accounting team with timely and insightful research, documentation and guidance on technical accounting matters, including complex and non-standard transactions such as revenue recognition, derivatives, equity and debt offerings, adoption of new standards, and general corporate accounting matters

Requirements:

BS degree

CPA with 7+ years of public accounting and industry experience

Life science industry experience highly preferred

Strong US GAAP, SEC and SOX 404 regulations and guidelines
