job summary:

Tatum by Randstad's client is a national metal building subcontractor and the leader of innovation and design for the self-storage industry. They are looking for a Division Controller to join their accounting department and be a key member of the Division Leadership team.

The Division Controller will have the primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all the financial- related activities of the department.

This position is located at the organizations headquarters in Villa Rica, GA, onsite 5 days as week.

responsibilities:
  • Ensure credibility of Finance Department by providing timely and accurate analysis of models and financial trends.
  • Take hands-on lead position of developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive job cost system.
  • Direct and oversee all aspects of the Treasury, Finance and Accounting functions of the division.
  • Evaluates and advises on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies and regulatory action.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives so as to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions.
  • Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
  • Manage processes for financial models and reporting to the Division
  • Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
 
qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance, including significant accounting coursework
  • CPA/CMA Preferred
  • Ten years of progressive experience in accounting
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, specifically construction in progress accounting principles
