responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement.
  • Coordinate with external fund administration firm to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Assist internal and external auditors with financial information requests and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare quarterly reports on investment performance.
  • Track portfolio company performance and key disbursement, repayment and reporting dates as laid out in each loan and investment agreement.
  • Build and manage financial models to support analysis of impact investment opportunities under consideration, including small-and-medium enterprises and investment companies.
  • Draft investment memoranda and support transaction negotiation and execution for impact investing opportunities.
  • Continuously improve and refine internal tools and processes, including financial models, due diligence checklists, and resources for opportunity identification.
 
qualifications:

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience in investment banking, accounting, audit, impact investing, or institutional investing.
  • CPA or CFA qualification will be a significant advantage.
  • Oracle (Finance ERP) and QuickBooks strongly preferred.
  • Exceptionally strong analytical and organizational skills; quantitative modeling expertise preferably acquired at a recognized firm.
  • In-depth understanding of financial accounting principles.
  • Exceptional writer with expert command of English grammar.
  • Team player with a positive attitude who can work independently while also being highly collaborative and open.
  • Excellent attention to detail, adherence to deadlines and consideration of follow-through. Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional computer skills, including fluency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
