job summary:


The Financial Systems Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of our Finance & Accounting Systems and leading / supporting process improvement initiatives within the Finance, Credit & Accounting functions. This position will partner closely with our Finance and IT teams to develop a keen understanding of finance business processes and translate them into technical requirements and technological solutions that meet the company's business needs and requirements.

This position will develop and plan short-term strategies and long-term roadmaps to improve system efficiencies and the process maturity of all finance systems. This person should have experience with financial processes and familiar with current best practices to enhance the effectiveness of the transaction processing, reconciliation and reporting.

The ideal candidate should have strong client service relationships, be able to interact and partner with all levels of the organization, excellent communication skills, experience collaborating with team members to achieve goals, work in a fast-paced environment, and adaptable to business priority changes with ease. This will include but not limited to provide continuous improvements and systems enhancements, develop testing plans, issues resolution, and user support. This position reports to the CFO and has no direct reports.

  • Manage the prioritization and execution of the financial systems & analytics roadmap.
  • Gain a deep understanding of business needs to contribute to prioritization of new projects or enhancements to meeting existing and long-term goals.
  • Plan short-term strategies and long-term roadmaps to improve system efficiencies and the process maturity of all finance systems.
  • Drive process optimization and identify automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency within the Finance, Credit, AP, Legal and Accounting functions.
  • Drive the expansion of data warehouse and BI adoption, including analytics, dashboards and integration with cross-functional systems.
  • Collaborate across the company with multiple functions, including IT, Sales and Operations.
  • Assits CFO with special projects or analyses
  • Conduct training on new or updated systems, applications and tools. This includes preparing any necessary training material to facilitate trainings
  • Onboard new team members by assisting with access, setup and training on systems, tools and applications
  • Perform financial analysis over data outputs related to the accrual process to ensure adequate coverage, as well as other areas of the financials, as needed
  • Collaborate and support key stakeholders on cross functional business projects that impact financial systems and business processes
  • Assist with development/enhancement needs on business processes and systems to drive efficiency and maximize automation
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve system issues, as needed, including a report-out of the core cause and solution
  • Support accounting and finance period close activities with analysis on data outputs as well as completing any necessary system related deliverables to Accounting team
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests, as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality of business interests and strategy, financial reports, and systems at all times


  • Minimum 7 years of demonstrated high-level professional knowledge and skills in finance systems and processes
  • Minimum 5 years leading change management efforts at the Enterprise level
  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience in Business, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills are essential (e.g., Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project); including intermediate or advanced Excel skills with knowledge of formulas, pivot tables and v-lookup
  • Ability to maintain an objective financial perspective and understand the broader implications to the company
  • Ability to discriminate between symptoms and root causes
  • Ability to gain agreement on priorities and balance many concurrent work efforts
  • Demonstrated ability to build credibility with internal clients and to navigate organizational structures.
  • Demonstrated self-starter, able to prepare project plans with minimal input.
  • Demonstrate multi-tasking and project management skills to manage workload from logistics to strategic efforts, while adhering to deadlines and high quality.
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency in managing projects of small to medium scale and implemented change initiatives as a technical expert within a specified product or process area
  • Passion for and knowledge of emerging technologies to deliver best practice solutions ensuring financial systems integrity and controls
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to employ various styles, formats and voices clearly, consistently and creatively.
  • Ability to develop a logical and persuasive approach and outline for making recommendations knowing how to vary format, structure, and content to suit various audiences
  • Ability to conduct research, analyze data, and resolve complex problems
  • Ability to understand and adapt to different audiences and clients, their needs and potential reactions to communications and ideas.
  • Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends

  • Strong accounting/finance and project management background
  • Graduate Degree in Accounting or Finance (Business, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field (e.g., MBA, MIS)
  • CPA or CMA license, or equivalent
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong business acumen
  • In-depth experience in implementing Finance systems (BI, ERP, Budgeting, Procurement, Payroll, MRP & other tools) and supporting Accounting and Finance departments.

This will be a Hybrid position in the office 3 days per week.
