job summary:

Our client is searching for an experienced Bookkeeper to assist in managing day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills, and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly. The ideal candidate for this position is self-motivated, professional, reliable, and capable of managing their work load and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment. This position reports to the Controller and is responsible for performing general accounting duties.

responsibilities:
  • Perform day to day accounting activities using QuickBooks
  • Maintain comprehensive accounting records for all receipts and disbursements
  • Enter vendor payables, prepare disbursement checks, and maintain check registers
  • Enter customer receivables and prepare deposits
  • Prepare invoices and monthly statements
  • Coordinate preparation of information for ad hoc reports upon request
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly financial transaction statements
  • Perform Account Reconciliations
  • Prepare expense schedules and reports.
  • Maintain document management and recordkeeping for multiple entities
 
qualifications:
  • Associates Degree or Higher
  • 5 years minimum experience working as a Bookkeeper or Junior Accountant.
  • Experience working in family office preferred but not required.
  • Working knowledge of General Ledger accounting and transaction processes.
  • Detail orientation with an aptitude for accuracy, timeliness, and quality of work.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with QuickBooks or comparable accounting software a plus.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work on your own initiative, be proactive, and follow through on tasks
