gl accountant in chesapeake

One of my clients in the Chesapeake area is looking to add a GL Accountant to their team! Ideally they would like someone with at least 3 full years of GL accounting experience. This person will be supporting the various accounting functions and will report directly to the controller. • Provide daily finance activities, including cash management and treasury, revenue recognition, bank reconciliations, payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable and month end closing.
• Prepare monthly journal entries in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Assist with detailed financial statement analysis on a monthly basis for variances and trends pre-close and post-close.
• Provide corporate tax compliance, preparation, and submittals to multi-state agencies.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of experience in a corporate accounting environment
• Strong GL accoutning experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Attention to detail.
• Clear and correct demonstrated verbal and written communications skills.
