job summary:

Tatum by Randstad is partnering with a global leader in manufacturing storage solutions. The company covers everything from doors & hallways, to installation, automation, and facility restoration. They are seeking a Global Controller to help lead the team at their Douglasville, GA office.

This position will serve as a strategic partner to the corporate leadership team and operating sites. Their ideal candidate is someone who is an expert in working with Business Unit Controllers to ensure GAAP accounting records, proper reconciliations , and SOX compliance.

  • Ensure the Business Unit Controllers are closing the records monthly aligned with the close calendar.
  • Ensure proper reconciliations are performed, are reviewed at the Business Units and deliver US GAAP numbers in the Trial Balance.
  • Work closely with the Manager of Financial Systems to set up financial reporting packages used in the Global Consolidations.
  • Work closely with the Technical Accounting team to ensure accounting policies are properly interpreted at the operating Business Units Drive.
  • Manage projects involving global teams and communicate to a broad set of stakeholders.
  • Develop sustainable reporting solutions to meet external & internal requirements.
  • Manager relationships and requests between external auditors and operating units.
  • Analyze business processes and propose process improvements.
  • Develop and implement a disciplined Governance Framework, including SOX controls.
  • Partner with peers across functions in developing integrated plans on cross-functional initiatives.
  • Work with the local Business Unit Accounting/Finance community to determine process requirements and identify areas of improvement with the current tool set.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent with a minimum of 5+ years or relevant work experience.
  • Ideal candidates would have a background of a public accounting and a private industry mix in manufacturing.
  • Must have experience working with a consolidation tool such as OneStream or Hyperion
