POSITION: Global Sales Manager - Strategic Accounts

LOCATION: Dallas, TX

Leading international logistics provider has an exceptional opportunity in the Chicago area for a Global Sales Manager to take over responsibility the South Central Territory. The Global Sales Manager will be responsible for leading the region to excellence in areas of Profitability, Efficiency, Quality, and Exceeding Customer Expectations in the area of Sales This role will also be responsible for assuring targets are met, setting budgets, and bringing new business opportunities to the organization. This is a Client Facing / Direct Sales role.

Our client is ranked in the top 20 global forwarders specializing in international air, ocean, and custom house brokerage. You would be selling International Air/Ocean ( Import & Export), Custom House Brokerage, P.O. Management, Order Management, and Consolidation to existing National Accounts, as well as new clients. The Global Sales Manager will be responsible for developing a book of business and visiting external clients in each given market on a regular basis. Securing new opportunities with existing clients and acquiring new clients, will be the key areas of concentration in this role.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent work experience, will have a minimum of ten years of business related experience in the international forwarding industry, with at least seven years of direct sales experience. A strong background in the international transportation and logistics industry, and superior communication and interpersonal skills are required. Candidates who excel at coaching, who have strong tactical and analytical awareness, who are quality driven, and who have a profound understanding of client relationships and company objectives will be considered for this opportunity.

Generous base salary, performance bonus, vehicle and expense allowance, medical/dental, 401K.
