job summary:

Tatum's client, a private-equity owned consumer goods company, is in search of a strategic human resources leader for a 3 to 6 month engagement. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful business in a stable industry during these uncertain times. The client distributes cosmetic, beauty, health, and other home supplies to various retail outlets across the Tri-State area.

responsibilities:

The day-to-day responsibilities of this HR role will focus around employee and resource utilization, turnover and retention, general policies review, and assist with the corporate planning in response to COVID-19 with an employee-centric approach. The ideal candidate will have a background with consumer goods/products, experience working with merchandisers, ideally have worked in a private equity owned environment, and have experience with integration post M&A activity.

 
qualifications:

Required Criteria:

  • 5-10 years of experience in a Human Resource leadership role (Director, Head of, etc.)
  • Experience in the consumer goods industry and/or working with merchandisers
  • Strategic, business operations focus
  • Detailed understanding of payroll and labor practices throughout the Northeast
  • Proven experience in managing compensation process and benefit packages
