Tatum, By Randstad has been retained to find a qualified HR Director for a long term project that could be temp to hire. Our client is a global PE owned Medical Device manufacturing organization. The Director of Human Resources will be responsible for strategically planning HR initiatives and managing day-to-day HR operations for the 1,000+ Division employees across the United States. The HR Director will oversea 9 plants around the US. (Including NY, TX, IN, WA, GA). The HR Director will make recommendations and implement proactive, data-driven HR solutions that encourage a competitive advantage through people. This position will educate, motivate and influence the organization to help achieve business goals through the effective management of human capital.

responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsiblities
- Safety - Effectively partner with others to ensure continuous improvement in the the safety and health of our essential workforce.
- Talent Management - attract, select, onboard, engage, grow and reward diverse talent for the Business Unit. Manage and coordinate workforce planning, recruitment, talent assessment/development/deployment, succession and compensation planning. Assist with leadership development programs, to include the development of all high potential employees. Mentor and develop the HR team.
- Organizational Development. Lead/Assist with organizational design and change management efforts that help to most effectively align strategy, structure, process, people, and rewards. Develop applicable metrics to identify and enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Performance Management. Lead the annual performance appraisal process. Develop and implement appropriate compensation and rewards structures to help build and drive a culture of accountabiulity, continuous improvement and high performance.
- Culture Champion - Serve as a leader that helps to build a culture of safety, respect, DEI, collaboration, continuous improvement, accountability, reward/recognition/celebtation, and high performance.
- Additional responsibilities include: salary administration, collaborating on development and updating of HR policies, employee and labor relations, workers compensation and leave of absence implementation. Other duties may be assigned, as appropriate.
qualifications:
- 10-12 years in progressively more responsible HR roles, with a significant portion of that in a manufacturing environment. Direct experience in roles outside of HR (Production, Supply Chain, Accounting, Finance, etc.) highly desired, but not required.
- BS in Business, Human Resoures, Labor Relations, or related field or equivalent education/experience. MS or MBA are highly desirable.
- Solid experience with various talent management concepts and practices (to include compensation) is required.
- Strong business acumen. Demonstrated ability to think and act strategically, effectively connecting appropriate HR plans/ideas with business needs.
- Prior experience building and scaling growing operations.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire confidence and trust.
- Team player that is committed to a collaborative environment, leading by example with a hands on approach to get things done. Strong relationship building skills. Ability to manage, coach, partner with and/or influence others at all levels in the organization.
- Proven ability to manage projects and deploy/lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong decision-making skills, sound judgment, and the ability to think quickly and create/adapt to a rapidly changing work environment.
- Ability to understand and use an HRIS system - technologically savvy, to include proficiency with MS Excel. Demonstrated ability to effectively gather, synthesize, analyze and confidently package/present information to others for purposes of influence and decision making. Must be an effective communicator and influencer, both verbally and in writing to include emails and presentations.
- Ability to travel ~1-2 weeks/month to other plants.
