They are currently seeking an experienced HR & Payroll Partner located in Mocksville, NC who will oversee and process payroll functions of the organization in the US, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. This colleague will process bi-monthly payroll and maintain employee time records. If you are currently an HR Manager with over 8 years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment, this may be the job for you.

Here is a list of some of the things you will do in the job:

Payroll:

  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality when dealing with sensitive data.
  • Processes, maintains, and reviews payroll processing and accounting systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
  • Identifies and recommends updates to payroll accounting software, systems, and procedures.
  • Enters, maintains, and/or processes information in the payroll system; information may include colleagues hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information.
  • Ensures proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, charitable contributions, and other deductions.
  • Records and processes federal and state payroll tax deposits.
  • Oversees procedures and processes and manages inquiries and requests related to preparation and distribution of payroll.
  • Maintains or oversees the maintenance of employee records.

Recruitment:

  • Support & Ensure the recruitment process is efficiently and effectively delivered, this includes working with the Regional HR Manager, managers to develop advertisements, instructing recruitment agencies, attending selection interviews and using current recruitment tools, e.g social media, websites, data management and reporting techniques in North Carolina and Ohio if needed.
  • Participate in selection, recruitment, interviews, hires Operation operators & hourly colleagues who live the values and have competency needed to perform the job.

HR Aspects & Workforce Administration:

  • Provide direct support to the Regional HR Manager during the delivery of HR projects and initiatives including the annual HR cycles.
  • Communicate effectively exchange information, critical information.
  • For each colleague, manage the onboard programs related to HR and Payroll.
  • Schedule all training requested for the new hire.
  • Participate in the workforce administration of all annual HR processes ; including US, Vacation, Appraisals, and Employee rewards & Long Service Awards, 401 K plan, Medical care for US.
  • Completing accurate spreadsheets and calculations where relevant for HR & payroll activities.
  • In liaison with the Regional HR Manager, undertake administration of the health care scheme and additional employee benefits/assistance programs, ensuring employee information is updated on a regular basis.
  • Ensure compliance with US employment legislation and HR best practice updating policies and procedures as required.
  • Update employee data in the US.

HRIS - Oracle:

  • Be a super-user for the HRIS core system to support line managers and the country HR representatives to ensure all colleague information is captured in a timely manner and is accurate.
  • Point of contact for colleagues in the US and from the Group HR Team members on HRIS core system problem solving.

Training & Development

  • Actively support the Regional HR Manager with the collation of employee learning needs, maintenance of associated learning plans and administration of course bookings and the development, implementation and maintenance of effective manual and computerized training and development systems.
  • Maintain and operate the computerized HR filing systems, ensuring HR and Training records are up to date.
